Vol. 548 No. 5

Written Answers. - Health Board Allowances.

Michael Finucane

Question:

278 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Health and Children if the Mid-Western Health Board will arrange a domiciliary care allowance payment for a person (details supplied) in County Limerick; the reason no decision has been made; if the health board will grant this person a domiciliary care allowance; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5619/02]

The assessment of entitlement to and payment of the domiciliary care allowance in any individual case is a matter for the relevant health board. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive officer, Mid-Western Health Board, to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply to him directly.
