290 Mrs. B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Health and Children the capital projects financed by his Department in County Kerry which commenced or were completed in 2001; the amount of money in each case; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5718/02]
My Department has overall strategic responsibility for the management of the national development plan so as to develop the health service infrastructure in a co-ordinated and effective manner. However, responsibility for the management, prioritisation and delivery of capital projects in County Kerry, rests with the Southern Health Board. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive officer of the Southern Health Board to investigate the matter raised by Deputy Moynihan-Cronin and reply to her directly.
