Question:

365 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he will instruct the Land Registry office to correctly complete a transaction to sign over ten acres of land to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo. [5269/02]

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that the pending application is an application for a transfer which was lodged on 24 April 2001. Dealing number D2001SMO02849R refers. A query issued to the lodging solicitor on 13 February 2001 and the application cannot proceed until this query has been satisfactorily resolved. However, I can assure the Deputy that on receipt of a satisfactory reply the matter will be dealt with as soon as possible.

Question:

366 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he will instruct the Land Registry Office to expedite a section 49 dealing for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo; and the position in this regard. [5270/02]

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this dealing refers to an application under section 49 – acquisition of title by virtue of long possession – of the Registration of Title Act, 1964, which was lodged on 14 April 2000. I understand that due to their complicated nature, applications under section 49, which require detailed examination of claims for registration as owners, can take some time to process.

I am further informed that queries will issue to the lodging solicitors within the next ten days and that the application cannot proceed until these queries have been satisfactorily resolved. However, I can assure the Deputy that, on receipt of a satisfactory reply, the matter will be dealt with as soon as possible.

367 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if a dealing on a folio for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo has been dealt with in the Land Registry office; and if not, if he will instruct the office to expedite the dealing. [5271/02]

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this application refers to a deed of exchange which was lodged on 8 July 2001. Dealing number D2001SMO05273K refers.

I am further informed that queries issued to the lodging solicitors on 25 September 2001 and that the dealing cannot progress until these queries have been satisfactorily resolved. I can assure the Deputy that on receipt of a satisfactory response to these queries, the application will receive attention.
