Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

398 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform when he expects to publish the report by the interdepartmental study group examining the disabled drivers' and disabled passengers' (tax concessions) scheme, 1994, and regulations; the length of time the group has been meeting; the length of time it proposes to meet; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5882/02]

The interdepartmental review group examining the disabled drivers' and disabled passengers – tax concessions – scheme, under the chairmanship of my Department, was established in April 1998.

Work on the report of the group is at an advanced stage. The report will be presented to the Minister for Finance once completed. The decision on when the report will be published will rest with the Minister for Finance.
