Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

492 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science the degree to which agreement has been reached regarding improved safety factors for parents, students and staff at St. Wolstan's second level school, Celbridge, County Kildare; if he will report on the precise nature of the proposals to alleviate the danger thereat; when it is expected the works will be carried out; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5903/02]

A traffic management report has been completed and brought to the attention of my Department. The report raised a number of issues that require to be addressed by Kildare County Council. A copy of the report has been forwarded to the County Council for its attention and appropriate action. Decisions regarding the works considered necessary, the carrying out of such works and the associated timeframe are matters for Kildare County Council.
