125 Mr. Andrews asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources if two lights will be provided for a small harbour (details supplied) in County Galway; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that the piping is in place to receive these lights; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The harbour in question is owned by Galway County Council and responsibility for any maintenance or development work rests with the local authority in the first instance.
The harbour in question is located in a Gaeltacht area and I understand that the Department of the Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands is considering grant aiding the local authority to provide lighting at the location.
