Question:

138 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive the ten month and 22 month special beef premium payments. [5937/02]

The person concerned has submitted six applications, in respect of 100 animals, for the 2001 special beef premium scheme. Three animals were deleted for payment purposes as payments had already been made in respect of the first age premium and the animals concerned were not eligible for second age premium at the time of application. Payment issued on 8 November 2001 in relation to 80% of the premium due on 62 animals. Outstanding issues in relation to information on the cattle movement monitoring system (CMMS) in respect of the outstanding 35 animals have now been resolved. Payment has now issued in respect of these animals.
