179 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Health and Children the extent to which he proposes to improve respite care facilities; the total number of respite places available and proposed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6114/02]

The information sought is not readily available to my Department. The chief executive of the health boards and the Eastern Regional Health Authority have been asked by my Department to provide the necessary details, which will be forwarded to the Deputy, as a matter of urgency.
