Michael Ring

I have approved funding for Mayo County Council's proposals for an extension of the Shrule sewerage scheme to the Dalgan road under the serviced land initiative in February 2001. Any proposals to extend the scheme to incorporate and facilitate industry must, in accordance with polluter pays policy, be fully financed by that sector.

I have approved Craughwell sewerage scheme – stage 1 for funding under the serviced land initiative. An up to date preliminary report for the scheme is awaited from Galway County Council.
