59 Mr. McDowell asked the Minister for Health and Children the steps he is taking to secure a solution to the dispute involving care staff working in homes for those with intellectual disabilities; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5774/02]
The Labour Court issued recommendations in this matter on 1 February 2002 which have been accepted by the board of the Health Service Employers Agency. My Department and the HSEA are currently working, as a matter of urgency, with the other parties to the dispute to initiate the settlement process recommended by the Labour Court.
