87 Mr. Rabbitte asked the Minister for Health and Children if he has received the report of the independent person he appointed to review the circumstances in which a psychiatrist (details supplied) suspended in Britain, was allowed to practise at two psychiatric hospitals here; the way in which procedures or regulations may be improved; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The report to which the Deputy refers has been received in my Department within the last week. As the report is currently under consideration within the Department, I do not intend to make a statement on the matter at this time. I hope to be in a position to make a statement regarding the report and its recommendations in the near future.
