144 Mr. Flood asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the details of the growth in Garda Síochána numbers serving the greater Tallaght area over the past five years; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6214/02]

I am informed by the Garda authorities, who are responsible for the detailed allocation of resources to individual areas, that the personnel strength, all ranks, of Tallaght Garda station for each of the years 1997 to 2001 is as set out hereunder:

The above figures represent an increase of 26, or 19.5%, in the personnel allocated to Tallaght Garda station between 31 December 1997 and 31 December 2001.
