157 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he has received requests for augmentation of Garda strength at the various stations throughout north County Kildare, with particular reference to the need to deal with violent crime and drug related crime; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am informed by the Garda authorities, who are responsible for the detailed allocation of resources to individual areas, that local Garda management in the three divisions which cover north Kildare are satisfied that their current manpower strength is adequate to meet the present policing needs of the area.
