My Department wrote to the person named on 26 November 2001 asking him to explain the discrepancy between the area he declared for area aid and the area he declared for REPS. A reply to this inquiry was received in my Department on 19 February 2002, and processing of the payment application was then resumed.

The person named applied for premium for nine animals under the 2001 suckler cow premium scheme. The application is going through the final stage of processing and his payment will issue within the next week.
