Question:167 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if he will make a payment of a suckler cow premium for 2001 to a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim. [6852/02]

The person named applied for premium for 26 animals under the 2001 suckler cow premium scheme. In accordance with the scheme's terms and conditions, premium is paid on each eligible suckler cow or heifer within the individual suckler cow quota limit applicable to the producer. Full payment issued to the person named on 20 February 2002 based on 20 animals, which is the suckler cow quota on record for her.
