Question:224 Mr. N. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Health and Children if his attention has been drawn to the delay in having applications under the mobility allowance scheme finalised; and if he will examine the matter. [6436/02]
Written Answers. - Health Board Allowances.
Responsibility for the assessment of entitlement to and payment of mobility allowance rests with the relevant health board. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive officer of the Southern Health Board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply to him directly.
