254 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children when a special chair will be provided for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo by the Western Health Board; and when an official from the Western Health Board will call out to deal with this problem for this person. [6687/02]
The provision of aids and appliances for people with physical and sensory disabilities is a matter for the Eastern Regional Health Authority and the health boards in the first instance. Accordingly, the Deputy's question has been referred to the chief executive officer of the Western Health Board with a request that she examine the matter and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
