346 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands when the Official Languages Equality Bill, Bille na Gaeilge, will be published; and if organisations associated with this issue have been consulted in this regard. [6810/02]
The text of the Official Languages Equality Bill is at present being drafted and it is proposed to publish the Bill in the current parliamentary session. There will be an opportunity following the publication of the Bill for individuals or organisations having an interest in its subject matter to make their views known to me or to my Department. The Department would have been cognisant of the views of many of these organisations as expressed both orally and in writing while drafting the heads of the Bill.
