I propose to take Questions 424 and 439 together.

I have been nominated to formally represent the Government in South Africa at the functions associated with St. Patrick's Day there. These will include receptions, dinners, embassy functions and other opportunities to promote Ireland on this high profile occasion. Among other engagements I will meet and exchange views with my counterpart, Minister for Education Dr. Kadar Asmal and visit a number of educational institutions and schools. I am also scheduled to formally meet with the Ireland South Africa Business Association. The exact dates of the visit have yet to be finalised.
