Vol. 549 No. 3

Written Answers. - Schools Building Projects.

John Bruton

Question:

451 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Education and Science the position regarding the provision of a site for the Gaelscoil in Dunboyne, County Meath; the discussions he has had with Meath County Council regarding the provision of a site; if the matter has been resolved satisfactorily; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6774/02]

My Department received an application for grant-aid from Gaelscoil Tulach na n-Óg, Dunboyne, County Meath towards the cost of moving to an alternative temporary site. My Department wrote to the school authorities advising them of the basis on which it would be prepared to fund the costs associated with the move to the new temporary site. It is the responsibility of individual primary school management authorities to identify suitable temporary accommodation, pending the provision of permanent accommodation.
