Question:118 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs the travelling and attendance arrangements for Ministers at St. Patrick's Day celebrations; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6718/02]
Written Answers. - Ministerial Travel.
Arrangements for attendance at St. Patrick's Day celebrations are not yet fully finalised. However, the Government currently expects that Ministers will represent it at important events promoting Ireland throughout the United States, including Boston and New York; Britain, including Scotland; Canada; Mexico; Europe, including Norway and France; Australia; New Zealand; South Africa; and Asia, including Hong Kong and Malaysia. I understand that information has also been requested from individual Ministers regarding their plans. In my own case, I will not be fulfilling St. Patrick's Day-related engagements abroad this year but will be attending the European Council summit in Barcelona on 15 and 16 March.
