129 Mr. Noonan asked the Minister for Public Enterprise her plans to travel abroad for Saint Patrick's Day celebrations; the venues to be visited; the planned dates of travel; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [6696/02]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 128 and 129 together.

On behalf of the Government I will officially open Ireland's new embassy in Oslo on Thursday 14 March. I will attend parades in Athlone and Moate on Saint Patrick's Day, 17 March. The Minister of State in my Department, Deputy Jacob will not travel abroad in connection with the Saint Patrick's Day festival.

I plan to visit Defence Forces personnel in Eritrea during the period 10-13 March 2002. I will also be in Hong Kong during the period 14-19 March 2002, attending Saint Patrick's Day celebrations there in conjunction with the visit of the Irish Naval Service vessel LE Niamh.
