Vol. 549 No. 4

Written Answers. - Defence Forces Property.

Jack Wall

Question:

127 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Defence the position regarding the FCA hall in Thurles, County Tipperary; his plans to sell the property or a portion thereof or to permit developers a right of way through the property; the position of the permanent staff attached to the premises and the local FCA members if such a sale or alternatives take place; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7041/02]

My Department has been approached by a developer who wishes to access his property through a portion of the FCA property in Thurles, County Tipperary. The Department has requested a copy of the planning application and the matter will be further considered on receipt of same. There is no question of relocation of the FCA elsewhere.
