164 Mr. Haughey asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if his Department has a library or if another library comes under the aegis of his Department; the way in which staff are recruited to such libraries; if there are vacancies at the present time; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development (Mr. Walsh):

My Department has a library and it is situated in my Department's head office in Kildare Street, Dublin. Staff are recruited by means of competitions that are held by the Civil Service Commission. At present there are no vacancies in the library.
