Vol. 550 No. 2

Written Answers. - Conservation Grant Programme.

Andrew Boylan

Question:

377 Mr. Boylan asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if his attention has been drawn to an application for proposed works at St. Feithlimidh's Cathedral, Kilmore, County Cavan, under the 2002 conservation grant programme and the fact that, if adequate grant support is not available, works cannot proceed beyond the sample works undertaken; the level of funding he is making available to the project; and if the maximum amount available under the programme will be granted. [7598/02]

An application for a conservation grant under the Urban and Village Measure of the Southern and Eastern Regional Operational Programme in relation to St. Feithlimidh's Cathedral, Kilmore, County Cavan has been received by my Department. A conservation advisory panel has recently assessed all applications received. I expect to announce details shortly in relation to the projects which will be grant aided in 2002.
