379 Mr. Haughey asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if his Department has a library or if another library comes under the aegis of his Department; the way in which staff are recruited to such libraries; if there are vacancies at the present time; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7644/02]
My Department has library facilities for the use of its employees. There is also a library at the Department's ENFO offices which can be accessed by the public. The staffing for both libraries is provided from within the Department's staffing complement, entry to which will normally be through the Civil Service Commission competitions. There is one vacancy at present in the ENFO library. No other library comes under the direct aegis of my Department.
