496 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the number of applications for registration pending in the Land Registry Office; and the details on a county and regional basis of the average delays in registration. [7772/02]
I am informed by the Registrar of Titles and Deeds that the number of dealings pending registration at 31 January was 152,713. Of this number 29,914 are dealings where the Land Registry are awaiting replies from solicitors to queries issued on the case.
In relation to the average delay in registration, I refer the Deputy to my answer to Parliamentary Question No. 362, reference No. 6592/02, on 26 February.
