577 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Education and Science the status of building improvement works at St. Patrick's national school, Strokestown, County Roscommon; when it is envisaged the work will be completed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7592/02]

Minister for Education and Science (Dr. Woods):

I am pleased to inform the Deputy that St. Patrick's national school, Strokestown, County Roscommon is currently being refurbished as part of the Government's programme. The length of time required to complete a school building project from inception to completion varies substantially.
