Vol. 550 No. 2

Written Answers. - National Sports Stadium.

Pat Rabbitte

Question:

44 Mr. Rabbitte asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation the amounts paid to date to each company or individual providing executive services for the proposed Campus-Stadium Ireland; the projected amounts which will be paid to each such company or individual in 2002; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8024/02]

Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation (Dr. McDaid): Campus and Stadium Ireland Development Limited, CSID, is the company set up to oversee the development of the Sports Campus Ireland project. I am advised that it concluded a contract with Magahy and Company in September 2000 to provide executive services to the company through a multidisciplinary executive services team.
Since September 2000, CSID has paid €2.285 million, £1.8 million, in respect of executive services. The Department is in touch with CSID in relation to the costs which will be required to be met for the remainder of 2002, and any such costs will be met from the provision to the relevant subhead of the Department's Vote. Payments to individual members of the executive services team are, however, a matter for Magahy and Company.
