Question:84 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources if the finalisation of the foreshore licence will be expedited for the proposed new sewerage scheme at Cheekpoint, County Waterford. [7680/02]
Written Answers. - Foreshore Licences.
I refer the Deputy to the responses I gave to Question No. 100 of 27 November 2001 and Question No. 152 of 5 February 2002. My Department is still awaiting a reply from Waterford County Council in connection with the draft site specific conditions proposed for a possible foreshore licence sent by my Department to it on 18 January 2002. A reminder letter was faxed to Waterford County Council on 12 February 2002, but to date a reply is still outstanding from the council.
My Department is pursuing the matter with the council and the Department of the Environment and Local Government with a view to an early conclusion.
