Question:

351 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if a second opinion can be arranged in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Carlow, who urgently requires orthodontic treatment; if the results of this person's last examination under a person (details supplied) in September, 2001, can be re-examined; and if immediate action can be taken in the case. [8506/02]

Responsibility for the provision of orthodontic treatment to eligible persons in County Carlow rests with the South Eastern Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply to him directly.
