Vol. 550 No. 4

Written Answers. - Register of Electors.

Willie Penrose

Question:

485 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the latest date for persons to be included on the supplementary register if the general election is in early to mid-May; the date by which persons would have to be 18, before they would be eligible for such inclusion; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8957/02]

Applications for entry on the supplement to the register of electors must be received by the registration authority before the 14th day before polling day, disregarding Sundays, Good Fridays or public holidays. Applicants who comply with this deadline and who will reach 18 years of age by polling day are also eligible for entry on the supplement.
