548 Mr. Gormley asked the Minister for Social, Community and Family Affairs if his Department received a letter from a person (details supplied) in Dublin 6; if the diet allowance for this person will be increased; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8948/02]
The assessment of entitlement to and payment of the mobility allowance in any individual case is a matter for the relevant health board. My Department has therefore asked the regional chief executive, Eastern Regional Health Authority, to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply to him directly.
