Question:

705 Mr. Howlin asked the Minister for Education and Science if his attention has been drawn to the fact that, although a recommendation of additional tuition from a learning support teacher was made by the special education psychologist who assessed a person (details supplied) in County Wexford, this person is not receiving learning support teaching; the way in which it is proposed to redress this situation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8511/02]

My Department's inspectorate is currently investigating the educational needs of the pupil referred to by the Deputy. My officials will be in contact with the school authorities when this investigation has been completed.
