868 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Education and Science the progress which has been made regarding the granting of departmental recognition to Gael-Choláiste, St. Augustine's College, Duckspool, Dungarvan, County Waterford; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9269/02]

The application referred to is under consideration in my Department's planning section. Consultations with the relevant parties are nearing completion. A decision on the application will be taken shortly and the school management authorities will be advised of the outcome.
