24 Mr. Stagg asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the main features of the proposed new regulations to ensure that consumers are given proper notice of the full terms under which insurance policies are being introduced; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Minister of State at the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment (Mr. Treacy):

The draft regulations provide that consumers should receive a renewal notice 15 days in advance of the expiry of their contract, specifying the terms of renewal and enclosing a no claims bonus certificate, where the consumer has earned such a certificate.
