79 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources the capital provision for protection of coastal erosion in County Mayo for 2002; if he has received proposals from Mayo County Council in this regard; if so, the locations and the amounts required in each case; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9554/02]

In October 2001, my Department wrote to all coastal local authorities inviting proposals for consideration in the context of the 2002 coast protection programme. Mayo County Council submitted the following proposals for consideration:
