Vol. 551 No. 2

Written Answers. - Stadium Ireland Project.

Pat Rabbitte

Question:

85 Mr. Rabbitte asked the Taoiseach the number of staff from his Department who are on secondment to Campus Stadium Ireland; the way in which they were selected; if there was selection by open competition; the way in which their salaries compare to their salaries when in his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10066/02]

Three members of staff have been seconded from my Department to work on the Stadium Ireland project at Abbotstown. The grades of the staff concerned are one principal officer, one higher executive officer and one executive officer. They were seconded in accordance with the normal secondment procedures which do not involve open competition. Their salaries are recouped by the Department as is the norm with such secondments. The Department does not receive details of any additional remuneration to staff on secondment.
