Vol. 551 No. 2

Written Answers. - Hospital Services.

John Perry

Question:

262 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Health and Children if, further to Parliamentary Question No. 104 of 28 February 2002, his attention has been drawn to the medical difficulties, which a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim encountered since their appointment; if St. James Hospital can be contacted in order to have treatment carried out for this person; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9876/02]

As the Deputy will be aware from my reply to him in this matter dated 28 February 2002, responsibility for the provision of hospital services to residents of County Leitrim rests with the North-Western Health Board. My Department has, therefore asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this case, with regard to the further correspondence received, and to reply to the Deputy directly.
