475 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Education and Science if, in view of the fact that agreement has now been reached for a 25 year lease of the sports centre in Boyle, County Roscommon, he will arrange a meeting between his Department and Roscommon VEC regarding the provision of sports facilities at Boyle Community College; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department recently received confirmation from County Roscommon VEC that the parish of Boyle is willing to give a lease for the hall, referred to by the Deputy, to the VEC for a period of 25 years. This allows staff in the building unit of my Department to reconsider positively the application for grant aid towards the cost of work on the hall. My Department will be in contact with the VEC shortly.
