491 Mr. G. Reynolds asked the Minister for Education and Science when he proposes to implement the Protection of Employees (Part-Time Work) Act which was passed in 2000 which states that all EPT teachers begin on salary scale 3. [9743/02]
My Department is, at present, finalising arrangements for the implementation of the terms of the Protection of Employees (Part-Time Work) Act as it affects the incremental salary position of eligible part-time teachers. Appropriate adjustments will be made in the salaries of the teachers concerned and arrears of salary due will be issued as soon as possible.
