Question:138 Mr. Neville asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when an installation aid payment will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick. [10629/02]

The person named was an applicant under the old scheme of installation aid. Under the terms and conditions of that scheme, applicants had to be set-up on a farm which had a labour requirement of at least one man work unit – MWU – and not more than three MWUs at the end of the first production year following setting-up.
The person named had a MWU of 5.13 in the relevant year and therefore exceeded the maximum limit. Accordingly, he is ineligible for aid under the scheme.

Question:139 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reason an installation aid grant payment has not been made to a person (details supplied) in County Galway; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10647/02]
Under the terms and conditions of the national scheme of installation aid, applicants undertook to farm the lands on which he or she was set-up, on a full time basis for at least five years from the date of first setting-up, and have a man work unit – MWU – of at least one and not more than three.
The person named was set-up in 1998 and subsequently sold some of his lands in 2001. As the lands which were sold were vital to the achievement of the MWU and should have been farmed for five years, he is ineligible for aid under the scheme.

Question:140 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if a slaughter premium payment for 2001 can be made to a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10648/02]
The person named has so far qualified for slaughter premium for 2001 in respect of three animals and also for national envelope top-up payment on one heifer. Advance payments have issued in respect of these animals. Payment will issue as soon as possible in respect of a further 18 animals slaughtered in 2001, now that an outstanding query has been resolved in relation to the cattle movement monitoring system (CMMS).
