Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason a person (details supplied) in County Kerry has been waiting to be called for an ear, nose and throat appointment at Tralee General Hospital since September 2001 and has been advised that she could be waiting a further 12 months; and if this person can receive an appointment without delay. The provision of hospital services at Tralee General Hospital is the responsibility of the Southern Health Board, in the first instance. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive officer at the board to look into the matter and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
