Vol. 551 No. 3

Written Answers. - Garda Stations.

Alan Shatter

Question:

221 Mr. Shatter asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform his plans for the provision of a new Garda station to replace the existing Dundrum Garda station; the proposed location of such a new station; and the progress made to date. [10603/02]

It is intended to build a new Garda station in Dundrum. As a first, necessary, step the Office of Public Works is currently endeavouring to secure a suitable site in the area for development. Once the site has been secured, construction of the new station will progress without undue delay.

The Deputy will appreciate that it is not possible to indicate where the station will be located at this time.
