Vol. 551 No. 3

Written Answers. - Industrial Relations.

Joe Higgins

Question:

226 Mr. Higgins (Dublin West) asked the Minister for Education and Science the reason no investigation was initiated into complaints by a construction trade union of serious breaches of the laws concerning workers' entitlements and Revenue matters on the major construction projects at Dublin City University which were heavily financed from public funding. [10367/02]

All State bodies in receipt of Exchequer funding for capital purposes must comply with Government and European Union procurement procedures, as appropriate.

Industrial relations issues are a matter for resolution between contractors and relevant trade unions.
