International Agreements: Motions.

I move:

That Dáil Éireann approves the terms of the Partnership Agreement between the Members of the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States of the one part, and the European Community and its Member States of the other part, signed at Cotonou, Benin on 23 June 2000, cop ies of which were laid before Dáil Éireann on 21 March, 2002.

That Dáil Éireann approves the terms of the Internal Agreement between Representatives of the Governments of the Member States of the European Community, meeting within the Council, on the Financing and Administration of Community Aid under the Financial Protocol to the ACP-EC Partnership Agreement of Cotonou, done at Brussels on 18 September, 2000, copies of which were laid before Dáil Éireann on 21 March, 2002.

That Dáil Éireann approves the terms of the Constitution of the International Organisation for Migration of 19 October, 1953, as amended at Geneva on 20 May, 1987, copies of which were laid before Dáil Éireann on 21 March, 2002.

That Dáil Éireann approves the terms of the Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment, done at New York on 10 December, 1984, copies of which were laid before Dáil Éireann on 21 March, 2002.

That Dáil Éireann approves the terms of the Convention for the Pacific Settlement of International Disputes, done at The Hague on 18 October, 1907, copies of which were laid before Dáil Éireann on 21 March, 2002.

That the proposal that Dáil Éireann approve the terms of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, done at Rome on 17 July 1998, which was laid before Dáil Éireann on 22 March, 2002, be referred to the Select Committee on Foreign Affairs, in accordance with paragraph (1)(a)(iii) of the Orders of Reference of that Committee, which shall, not later than 28 March 2002, send a message to the Dáil in the manner prescribed in Standing Order 79B, and Standing Order 79A(2) shall accordingly apply.
