Vol. 551 No. 4

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Andrew Boylan

Question:

114 Mr. Boylan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when payment of beef premium, headage and suckler grants will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Cavan. [10847/02]

One of the parcels claimed by the person named in his 2001 area aid application overlapped with a parcel of land claimed by another applicant. The overlap has been resolved in favour of the person named. The 2001 area aid application for the person named has been fully processed with an area determined for payment purposes of 21.57 hectares. Payment due under the disadvantaged areas compensatory allowances scheme will issue shortly. The person named applied for premia for 22 animals under the 2001 suckler cow premium scheme. The application has been fully processed and payment will issue shortly based on 20 animals, as that is the number of suckler cow quota rights held by the applicant. There is no record of any applications under the 2001 special beef premium scheme.
