Ahern asked the Minister for Finance the position regarding the proposed purchase of a site for a school (details supplied) in Dublin 9; if a site has been purchased; if negotiations are continuing; when the last meeting or communication took place in this regard; if the owner has withdrawn his offer to sell; if and when a successful outcome can be expected; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I refer to the reply to a written parliamentary question, reference PQ 7261/02, on 28 February 2002. The Commissioners of Public Works are awaiting a response to a letter dated 25 February 2002, sent to the proposed vendors as part of the ongoing negotiations for this proposed site acquisition.
