188 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands if her Department received an application for grant assistance for the community hall in Keel, Achill, County Mayo; and when she expects to make an announcement in this regard. [10896/02]

There is no record in my Department of an application for grant assistance for the community hall in question. Assistance from my Department under the Gaeltacht improvement schemes is confined to areas as defined in the Gaeltacht Areas Order 1956-1982.
