Vol. 551 No. 4

Written Answers. - School Transport.

Noel Ahern

Question:

275 Mr. N. Ahern asked the Minister for Education and Science the reason transport to school has not been arranged for a person (details supplied) in Dublin 3; if payment for transport since September 2001 will be refunded to the person's parents; and if a timetable for the service can be provided. [10952/02]

The school transport section of my Department has recently sanctioned a taxi service for the pupil referred to by the Deputy. Bus Éireann has been informed of the sanction and requested to make the necessary arrangements. Bus Éireann will advise the family of the timetable. If the family contacts that section of my Department the question of the provision of grant-aid from September 2001 will be examined without delay.
